Amazing Chen guide: Builds, Strategies and winner tactics

I’ve got over 500 games with Chen, and myself have experienced my fair share of compliments and hate. Additional Master Chen’s across the way have gave me information that I will share for you. Firstly nobody believed in this insider’s information, but right now we almost have the Garrosh Hellscream in our ranks, so now this list looks a bit more trustful.

The Full list of new heroes:

  • Garrosh Hellscream (WarCraft) – former Chief of the Horde and the son of the legendary Grommash Hellscream.
  • Kel’Thuzad (WarCraft) – High Leach, one of the most loyal servants of the Lich-King and the ruler of the Naxxramas – the flying fortress.
  • Flamethrower (StarCraft) – special Terrain’s unit, that armored with a hand flamethrowers to fight against large groups of enemies.
  • Anna (Overwatch) – Healer from the Overwatch, the right hand of the Commander Morrison (Soldier 76), one of the founders of the Overwatch organization.
  • Junkrat (Overwatch) – Another psycho from overwatch. This time psycho that freaking loves explosions.
  • Alexstrasza (WarCraft) – Former Keeper of the Life in Azeroth, Queen of the Red Dragons, and as KTisALMOSThere said, Blizzard have something special for Alexstrasza.

Most of these heroes are in the testing stage, and nobody knows when they will appear in the game. If this list is correct then I think that Flamethrower will appear in Nexus with the StarCraft Remastered, while Anna and Junkrat will appear in the BlizzCon 2017.


Heroes of the Storm 2.0

The Heroes of the Storm game server has a new update from May 10, which made a number of corrections to the balance of the characters. The changes were: Cassius, Varian, Probius, Auriel, Anub’arak, Genji, Li Li, Sonia, Illidan, Lucio, Nova, and Uther.

So let’s look at the changes of these characters closer and see what Blizard has prepared for us.

Assassins

Most of Blizzard nerfed all assassins and now they do not represent such a terrible threat as it was in the early patches. Now I will talk about all the affected characters.

Damage from the Fireball and Valkyrie has been reduced from 200 to 180 and from 190 to 225, respectively. The passive effect of increased attacks was reduced from 25% to 20%.

This will reduce the total burst damage and the support heroes will not suffer from the attacks of these heroes as before.

Genji

Although it’s a new hero, Blizzard also got to him. Thank God they almost did not nerf this friend, only slightly increasing the recharging time his passive talent – evasion.

The dragon’s talon now requires reflecting only 375 damage for activation, and the duration of the cyber shield has been increased to 2.5 sec.

Illidan

Illidan was a pretty weak hero, and Blizzard decided to bring him back, or at least try to do so. The passive increasing damage from the each of the warriors (From the Eternal Hatred talent) in now 0.2 damage points, and not 0.1 as it was before.

Zul’Jin

This fella was nerfed in the least way possible, damage from the auto attacks was reduced from 110 to 106. I don’t even know who will notice this tiny change. But his Voodoo evasion recharge time was greatly reduced, from 30 to 10 seconds, and this makes this talent best in the row.

Universals

Only Varian Wrynn is represented in this category. Damage from AA was increased from 87 to 91, and some talents were reworked too.

Overpower – Bonus damage after a parry was decreased from 25% to 20%, and if you choose King’s Duty then the bonus damage to the auto attacks was increased from 30 to 45.

E – button skill now have a new passive effect. Now the mana cost of this skill is reduced by 50% after a Charge.

Heroes, abilities, and talents

  • Abathur: the problem is fixed, as a result of which the “Distributed Shell” created a shield of smaller volume than planned.
  • Abathur: additional shields, created by the “Distributed Shell”, are no longer enhanced by the talent of “Durable Shell”.
  • Azmodan: now that the “Demon Invasion” is applied over an impassable territory, demoniacs will be properly called and placed as close as possible to the point of use.

Genji is the youngest son of the head of the Shimada clan, that nearly be killed by his brother, but was saved with the help of the Mercy from Overwatch. She recreated his body and young Omnic Zenyatta put together all his shattered pieces of mind, and teach him ways of peace. And now Genji is following his new path, fighting for the right things.

Genji’s abilities

Cyber agility – after using, Genji will dash in the place you pointed.

Shurikens (Q) – Genji throws 3 shurikens, each of them deals 65 points of damage to the first target they hit. Maximum charges – 3 (three). After recharging of ability, all charges are restored to the maximum.

Deflect (W) – Genji receives an immunity to all incoming damage for 1.25 sec. Each time when Genji deflected an attack, he throws a kunai at the nearest enemy, that deal 55 damage.

Swift strike (E) – Rush forward, dealing 215 damage to all enemies in the line. If an enemy that was hit by Swift strike dies in 2 seconds, this ability will recharge immediately, and mana that was consumed to cast it will return.

Genji Ultimates

Dragon blade (R) – Genji drew up his dragon blade for 8 seconds, while this effect is active you can use this ability again, and then Genji will rush forward, and deal a wide strike that deals 240 damage points. If an enemy that was hit with Dragon blade dies in 2 seconds, then the Swift Strike will be available immediately.

Cross Strike (R) – Genji deal two cross strikes, that deals 135 damage, and after 1.25 sec delay an explosion appears, that deals 270 damage in AoE.

Genji’s Outfits

Genji has the same outfits as in the Overwatch, but they have various color schemes. Only 1 outfit is unique, and he looks kinda like Pharah.

Good morning! let me tell you about new hero in Nexus, that arrived to us from Russia – Alexandra Zaryanova! In my opinion you must take this hero when you can not decide what will be better to your team – Another tank or Healer? Well, at this moment that hero is not that good as you can thinks, and i suppose that Blizzard will enhance her. So lets look at her.

Zarya is a second tank with a range attack (first was Rexar). And her ability – Energy, well i think it is not neccessary to tell about it to Overwatch players, but to all others – More damage absorbed by your shields, more damage you will deal with your attacks. Every time your Shield Barrier or Range Barrier absorb 10 point of damage, energy of Zarya increased by 1 point. Every point of energy increase damage dealt by Zarya by 2%. After 0.5 sec energy draw down with 1.5 point per second.

Energy Grenade (Q)

She throws an energy grenade, that deal damage to all enemies in a small radius. Structures receive 50% of that damage.

Shield Barrier (W)

Zarya cover herself by a shield barrier that absorb damage for 3 seconds.

Range Barrier (E)

Zarya cover any ally with a shield for a 3 second, this ability has a great radius.

Graviton Impulse (R)

She throw a gravi grenade to a point, where it blew after 1 second delay and pull all enemies to epicenter for a 2.5 second. Heroes can use escape abilities to run out that ability.

Exclusion Zone (R)

Zarya throw a gravi bomb, that deal a small damage and knock out enemies for 3.5 sec. Enemies that were hitted by this ability slows down by 50% at 1 sec.

Just like the previous one, but this pull enemies out from epicenter.

By gameplay Zarya looks like Tassadar, but she have much more attacking potential. But in general this damage will be useless. This is not a bad hero, but this is not that tank that we used to see. You need to stay out of combat as a healer.

Braxis Holdout map

Braxis Holdout” is a new battlefield in the Heroes of the Storm that has 2 lines. Objective of this map – fill cage of your team with Zergs and then release them to attack enemy’s fortress. To fill this cage you need to reclaim two energy beacons. Army of Zergs that you contains consists from Zerglings, Giblings, Gidralisks and 2 Ultralisks. Ultralisks appear when you will your cell with 50% and 100%. They are powerful siege monsters with a great hp pool and devastating damage. When one of the team fill their cell, both of them wil open and release a waves of monsters.

Braxis Holdout – strategy

To win that map you need to cotrol 2 beacons, and that mean that you need to move all the time. Army of Zergs contains from a numerous monsters, and that makes heroes that can clear lines a superb on that map. Although ability to clean lines allows you to move betwen beacons without exp lose.

By those 2 aspects i will choose a few heroes that can be seriously strong on that map, ignoring the fact of their place at the current meta. And the main hero that comes in mind – Sylvanna. Her Black Arrows will allow you to clean lines increadibly fast, also they will disable towers and structers and due to this Zergs will not lose their numbers. At maps like Braxis Holdout Sylvana is incredibly strong.

Falstad can earn exp from lines and then appear on the fight for the beacon in a blink of an eye, that makes him a perfect exp soaker. His Ultimate ability Gust of Wind will allow you to push enemies from beacon or to divide enemies that attack your constructions with Zergs to deal with them one by one.

Rexar – one of the strongest solo liners at this map. He always can control one beacon with bear and soak exp on line by himself. It will be hard to knock back the bear from the beacon.

Aslo at this map heroes with AoE abilities like Gul’dan or Kel’thas will be great.

You always need hero with ability of global movement like Falstad. One strong hero that can push back waves of creeps, if you lose your advantage in the beacons. Always hire mercenaries to push lines.

So this map looks qiute balanced, if both teams knew what they need to do. In other cases game will go out of control. I hope that this article will rise your Winrate on that map, and Good Luck on Nexus, fellows!

Art of Combination – Kerrigan guide

Set of Kerrigan’s abilities based on the use of mass control combinations for the killings. This combination makes a serious damage. Along with the Kerrigans ability, Absorption, proper execution of the combination has the advantage: you will get the maximum shield for all our abilities. And to get the most out of hero in a league or quick game, you should be able to make combos for Kerrigan.

Piercing blades [W] and the initial grip [E] – the two abilities, forming the basis of its combination. The basic idea – to put it in front Piercing blades and pull enemies to stun with the Initial grip. Order is important: you need to use a W before you press E. Advices and Tricks

The best way to get used to the capabilities of Kerrigan – to practice in trial mode. Switch to mode of rapid cooldown of abilities. The first task – it is used to delay before tripping W and E. I recommend practicing on the waves of minions, among which is the bot Arthas. This way you can see how far operates initial grip, depending on how far the enemy is from Kerrigan.

Bots can not dodge our combo as a real player, so, after you get used to the timing, you will need to play some real games to try out the combination.

The advantage of the view.

There is nothing more frustrating for the opponent team than Kerrigan, attacking from the bushes. This is one of those situations that could decide the outcome of the game. Hide in the bushes during the phase of standing on the line and wait until the enemy will not dare to push the line. When the victim is on the middle of the line – it’s time to attack.

You can also entice the enemy to the observation deck. Those are on Blackheart Bay and the Temple of Heaven, and perfect for the execution of the plan. At the beginning of the game characters of both teams run to the observation deck at the risk of their own lives. As Kerrigan, you have to lurk in the bushes near the lookout, waiting for opponents trying to capture the area. As soon as they will be on the point, you quickly get to the the battle, and do your combo. This relatively safe maneuver will provide you with an early experience, review and lines control.

You should always reliably perform a combination of Kerrigan, if you want to play in the League heroes.

It is not hard on your part you need only a little training. If you have long wanted to try Kerrigan, now is the time. She is extremely powerful in competent hands, and performing well on any map.

Finally I will say that you will not need to use abilities always together. Sometimes you just need to extend the control with Piercing blades or crush the enemy the Initial grip. When you have the opportunity – use it. Do not waste mana on full combo, if this is not necessary.

If you do not have any friends that play in Heroes of the Strom, then try to find some comrades at some LFG forums like Ofiicial LFG Forum. But if you playing in consoles then be sure that you united your Battle net account with your PS4 or Xbox 1.

Oni Genji need some grinding, but it looks flawless and it certainly worth the effort. And HotS is quite fun, and this is a good way for Blizzard to expand their player base.

Good day, ladies and gentlemen! Today I present to you our old friend, to which the developers have given a second life, meet – the Butcher!

All the gameplay boils down to two things – accumulate meat and begin to kill everything that moves. Abilities are not really changed, but developers changed talents and passive skills (accumulation of meat) it is necessary to carefully considered in order to fully appreciate the new Butcher in Hots.

The first, and most importantly developers changed passive ability. Now, to accumulate a critical mass of meat more difficult, but also it is not easy to lose it.

The next change that need to be noted – “Good hunting!” At the seventh level. The effectiveness of additional healing rises to 100% of the damage from the auto attack and if the enemy is affected by the ability to “Brand Butcher” then Butcher moves 20% faster. Previously, Butchers heal in Hots was depended on the speed of movement of the hero, which was aimed at capacity. But now, with this improvement, it is easier to catch up and kill the enemy hero, incidentally restoring your health.


Then there is a difficult choice. Sixteenth level makes it possible to increase the slowdown to 75% from the ability of “Hamstring”, or take one of the two passive abilities – “Frenzy” and “Blood Frenzy” (the original name). “Frenzy” works as follows: if you after enemy attack you have less than 50% health, Butcher runs mad for 10 seconds and gets 40% bonus to attack speed (well with “Brand Butcher”) and receives a shield which blocks 25 % of incoming damage. Once the frenzy passed, inner cd of this passive is 20 seconds, after which Butcher could again fall into a rage.

“Blood Frenzy” operates quite differently – auto attacks against enemy characters increases auto attack speed and movement for 5% for 3 seconds. This effect stacks up to 5 times.

What can we said to summarize? Butcher was, and remains the most “diving” character of the game. If you dive, then you can not leave the fight: you either kill or die, taking as many enemies with you as possible. But even without the support of allies, he is able to single murders players all over the map. Zagara pushes one line? “The ruthless rush” and she could not go away. Interview with Kent-Erik Hagman, the chief designer of HotS

Most important games for Blizzard are Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo. They continue to support these games, but there is new trio now – Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm and Overwatch.

Until now, there was only Tracer in HotS, but there still are many heroes of the Overwatch who can transfer to Moba and we all want to know and who joins the Nexus as playable characters. And here is an interview with Kent-Erik Hagman, the chief designer of HotS, he did not spoil the future heroes, but talk about how the developers team selects the next character.

Paul Tassi: Blizzard recently released first-person shooter, the characters of which are equipped with a set of skills entirely appropriate for the MOBA that fits perfectly into the Heroes of the Storm. Until now, you have added only Tracer. I believe that you will definitely add more characters from Overwatch. So, when?

Kent-Erik Hagman: Soon! We really like Overwatch and we definitely transfer a greater number of agents from the game.

Paul Tassi: How do you decide how much exactly the characters of Overwatch you need to transfer? How do you decide on what of the characters from Overwatch you need to work in the first place, because they all fit perfectly in MOBA genre?

Kent-Erik Hagman: As with the creation of all the other characters, first we focus on the key details: silhouette, art direction, design direction, the timing’s Event, industrial realities and so on.

For example, the silhouette is an incredibly important part of the character, it helps the player to instantly determine the appearance of the hero in sight, especially if it’s a new hero, silhouette also must comply with the supposed expectations (for example, a small character should have a smaller hp). Then you need to consider all the available skins in the game, at this stage creation of the silhouette becomes a real challenge.

Throughout the year, we look for the game and try to do the important notes. We would like to provide a wide variety of playable characters. I mean not only the artistic point of view, but also the game point. Very soon we will add new support hero, because the community makes it clear that this role requires innovation.

Paul Tassi: Any plans about Overwatch maps?

Kent-Erik Hagman: I’d love to see maps from every our universe.

Paul Tassi: There were situations when you realize that you have run out of the good characters of a particular universe? For example Warcraft obviously has a lot more variety than Starcraft and Diablo. How do you determine that the character is “too little” and is not suitable for the role of the hero?

Kent-Erik Hagman: As I said earlier, before deciding what character we will add to the Nexus we parse a bunch of options. In addition, players create their own characters, which they would like to see in the game.

What about “minor”, I would say that we are very well manage to take less famous characters and endow them with new properties. For example, one of our standard units was siege tank, Sledgehammer became Sergeant, Lieutenant Morales became a doctor, and the most common wood nymph into a Lunar. They all applauded by the community of players. And my personal favorite for the title of Hero of the most “insignificant” unit is Murka! He shows how variability can be this game. Due to it is really hard to call anyone a minor.

Paul Tassi: Do you satisfied with place that HotS takes in MOBA sphere?

Kent-Erik Hagman: Oh yeah, of course we are! But we are open for any new ideas. In my opinion, we need to do a lot of work to achieve a better version of Heroes of the Storm.
