Amazing Chen guide: Builds, Strategies and winner tactics

I’ve got over 500 games with Chen, and myself have experienced my fair share of compliments and hate. Additional Master Chen’s across the way have gave me information that I will share for you. I chief the Warrior function, but also play the rest of the Heroes so that I have a better grasp on what I’m up against and how to counter it. Chen’s wanderlust led him to adventure after adventure, by the invention of the popular Brewfest occasion to the founding of Durotar, where he struggled together with all the re-formed Horde to set it into its new home. Not long afterwards, the Horde and the Alliance found the continent and revived their battle, putting Chen (once more!) Squarely in the center of history. Hopefully after you’re finished reading my manual you may remark, provide positive feedback, and need to perform and take Chen as a workable hero!

Chen guideEvery construct is self explanatory. Within the name of this construct is exactly what you wish to go. YOu see their makeup, you need to assemble so. There’s simply not one construct you move every moment. When you browse the title of this construct’s above, you need to know yourself which ones to proceed, and which your staff requirements. I really do want to describe my Go-To construct. The very first talen tyou have Armor while raising your damage output. The next gift is similar to going Cinderhulk at League of Legends. Level 16 I move Another Round, this enhances my cooldowns, therefore that I could do more. Cooldowns are so significant on Chen.

Then finally I move Purifying Brew. This alows you move chug far more when you’re CC’d, and yet another round lowers cooldowns to your own kit, alowing you to remain tacky, living, and no huge damage. I’ve been enjoying Chen sicne BETA, and also my understanding of MOBA’s all together demonstrate that this construct is the greatest general particularly SoloQ, but my other assembles again change on group comps. Garrosh Hellscream | Now in HotS

Soon enough in Heroes of the Storm, a new hero will appear, and this time it will be the infamous Garrosh Hellscream, the son of the legendary Grommash Hellscream and the former Chief of the Horde from the Wolrd of Warcraft universe. Lok’Tar Ogar!

In the early years, Garrosh was ashamed by his Father – Grommash Hellscream because he was in the ranks of the first orcs that drank the cursed Mannaroth’s blood, and cursed all their kind. All this time he thought that his father was a traitor and that is the reason why forget in himself an Iron Will, and why he was so cruel. He believed that compassion, peace is a weakness, so he got rid of them, or he hid them in the deepest corner of the soul.

Learning of the heroic death of his father, he was filled with pride and joined the Horde. Entering the Horde, he soon became commander of the armies in Northrend, and afterward received the Chief’s mantle from Thrall himself. He is filled with hatred for the Alliance and dreams only of its complete destruction.

Now he arrived in the Nexus, which means that Hellscream will soon spread to the battlefields.

Garrosh Hellscream | In-game

Garrosh is a new hero in the Heroes of the Storm. It is a strength tank with an initiation and strong crowd control abilities. But as all other champions he has his own weaknesses:

  • Garrosh does not have any Escape abilities.
  • Very poor Siege damage.
  • Can not deal Burst Damage.

Garrosh is a strong hero that suppress opponents with the pure strength.

Abilities:

  • Armor Up – Passive ability. Upon receiving damage he increases his defense. The less hp he has, the less damage enemies will deal.
  • Groundbreaker [Q] – The first basic ability. Garrosh smack the ground with his axe, and deals damage to all in the small cone. Enemy heroes that stand nearly on the edge of the cone will be transported to the Garrosh.
  • Bloodthirsty [W] – ability that Garrosh uses to heal himself. Garrosh quickly swings his axe and deal damage to the enemy, healing himself. Healing will be twice effective if you hit the enemy champion.
  • Wrecking Ball [E] – Powerful tool to change position. Garrosh throws the closest enemy in the position where you clicked.
  • Warlord’s challenge – Forst heroic ability. Garrosh uses his Hell Scream to provoke the closest enemies to attack him for a short period of time.
  • Decimate – Second heroic ability. Aggressive ability that deals damage in a small radius and decreases the movement speed of the affected enemies. This ability has 3 charges and short cooldown. Decimate deals double damage to Heroes, and for each hero it hits, the cooldown is reduced a bit.

Garrosh is a strong independent tank. The less hp he got, the harder it to kill him. In a team with a good healer he can soak tons of damage, but be aware! Garrosh has a quite low HP, so be careful. He has a lack of mobility on the battlefield, but his Groundbreaker and Wrecking Ball gain you an ability to change positions of your enemies.

Playing as Garrosh your main task is to initiate a combat, and then quickly throw the weakest enemy right in the hand of your team mates.

Garrosh is equipped with the Father’s Axe, and nothing stops him from conquering the Nexus and smashing everyone on his path.

The Reddit’s user with the KTisALMOSThere nickname tells us, that he has a list of heroes that will be added in Heroes of the Storm in the nearest future. Firstly nobody believed in this insider’s information, but right now we almost have the Garrosh Hellscream in our ranks, so now this list looks a bit more trustful.

The Full list of new heroes:

  • Garrosh Hellscream (WarCraft) – former Chief of the Horde and the son of the legendary Grommash Hellscream.
  • Kel’Thuzad (WarCraft) – High Leach, one of the most loyal servants of the Lich-King and the ruler of the Naxxramas – the flying fortress.
  • Flamethrower (StarCraft) – special Terrain’s unit, that armored with a hand flamethrowers to fight against large groups of enemies.
  • Anna (Overwatch) – Healer from the Overwatch, the right hand of the Commander Morrison (Soldier 76), one of the founders of the Overwatch organization.
  • Junkrat (Overwatch) – Another psycho from overwatch. This time psycho that freaking loves explosions.
  • Alexstrasza (WarCraft) – Former Keeper of the Life in Azeroth, Queen of the Red Dragons, and as KTisALMOSThere said, Blizzard have something special for Alexstrasza.

Most of these heroes are in the testing stage, and nobody knows when they will appear in the game. If this list is correct then I think that Flamethrower will appear in Nexus with the StarCraft Remastered, while Anna and Junkrat will appear in the BlizzCon 2017.

As we suppose before, another hero that blizzard will add into the Nexus will be Genji – assassin from the Overwatch’s universe.

Genji is the youngest son of the head of the Shimada clan, that nearly be killed by his brother, but was saved with the help of the Mercy from Overwatch. She recreated his body and young Omnic Zenyatta put together all his shattered pieces of mind, and teach him ways of peace. And now Genji is following his new path, fighting for the right things.

Genji’s abilities

Cyber agility – after using, Genji will dash in the place you pointed.

Shurikens (Q) – Genji throws 3 shurikens, each of them deals 65 points of damage to the first target they hit. Maximum charges – 3 (three). After recharging of ability, all charges are restored to the maximum.

Deflect (W) – Genji receives an immunity to all incoming damage for 1.25 sec. Each time when Genji deflected an attack, he throws a kunai at the nearest enemy, that deal 55 damage.

Swift strike (E) – Rush forward, dealing 215 damage to all enemies in the line. If an enemy that was hit by Swift strike dies in 2 seconds, this ability will recharge immediately, and mana that was consumed to cast it will return.

Genji Ultimates

Dragon blade (R) – Genji drew up his dragon blade for 8 seconds, while this effect is active you can use this ability again, and then Genji will rush forward, and deal a wide strike that deals 240 damage points. If an enemy that was hit with Dragon blade dies in 2 seconds, then the Swift Strike will be available immediately.

Cross Strike (R) – Genji deal two cross strikes, that deals 135 damage, and after 1.25 sec delay an explosion appears, that deals 270 damage in AoE.

Genji’s Outfits

Genji has the same outfits as in the Overwatch, but they have various color schemes. Only 1 outfit is unique, and he looks kinda like Pharah.

Good morning! let me tell you about new hero in Nexus, that arrived to us from Russia – Alexandra Zaryanova! In my opinion you must take this hero when you can not decide what will be better to your team – Another tank or Healer? Well, at this moment that hero is not that good as you can thinks, and i suppose that Blizzard will enhance her. So lets look at her.

Zarya is a second tank with a range attack (first was Rexar). And her ability – Energy, well i think it is not neccessary to tell about it to Overwatch players, but to all others – More damage absorbed by your shields, more damage you will deal with your attacks. Every time your Shield Barrier or Range Barrier absorb 10 point of damage, energy of Zarya increased by 1 point. Every point of energy increase damage dealt by Zarya by 2%. After 0.5 sec energy draw down with 1.5 point per second.

Energy Grenade (Q)

She throws an energy grenade, that deal damage to all enemies in a small radius. Structures receive 50% of that damage.

Shield Barrier (W)

Zarya cover herself by a shield barrier that absorb damage for 3 seconds.

Range Barrier (E)

Zarya cover any ally with a shield for a 3 second, this ability has a great radius.

Graviton Impulse (R)

She throw a gravi grenade to a point, where it blew after 1 second delay and pull all enemies to epicenter for a 2.5 second. Heroes can use escape abilities to run out that ability.

Exclusion Zone (R)

Zarya throw a gravi bomb, that deal a small damage and knock out enemies for 3.5 sec. Enemies that were hitted by this ability slows down by 50% at 1 sec.

Just like the previous one, but this pull enemies out from epicenter.

By gameplay Zarya looks like Tassadar, but she have much more attacking potential. But in general this damage will be useless. This is not a bad hero, but this is not that tank that we used to see. You need to stay out of combat as a healer.

Kerrigan

Art of Combination – Kerrigan guide

Set of Kerrigan’s abilities based on the use of mass control combinations for the killings. This combination makes a serious damage. Along with the Kerrigans ability, Absorption, proper execution of the combination has the advantage: you will get the maximum shield for all our abilities. And to get the most out of hero in a league or quick game, you should be able to make combos for Kerrigan.

Piercing blades [W] and the initial grip [E] – the two abilities, forming the basis of its combination. The basic idea – to put it in front Piercing blades and pull enemies to stun with the Initial grip. Order is important: you need to use a W before you press E. If all works, you neutralize the enemy for 1.5 seconds (0.5 pulling and 1 second stun.).

This combo is not too complicated, you will understand that, when you learn how to perform it. The main problem is the players with lack of logic of their actions. Most of the players on the Kerriga use her Initial grip to pull the enemy, and only then try to predict its trajectory in the hope that the Piercing blades will stun him. And although it sometimes works, it is not as easy and reliable as the usual order combos.

Another common mistake is that how people place these abilities. It is better to concentrate on placing the Piercing blades. Grasp always work in the direction of the cursor to the hero, and the blades need to be taken into account more accurately in the situation. This means that during the rapid use of the grip, the aim should be guaranteed to get caught in the Piercing blades.

Advices and Tricks

Practice practice and more practice

The best way to get used to the capabilities of Kerrigan – to practice in trial mode. Switch to mode of rapid cooldown of abilities. The first task – it is used to delay before tripping W and E. I recommend practicing on the waves of minions, among which is the bot Arthas. This way you can see how far operates initial grip, depending on how far the enemy is from Kerrigan.

Do not bother that you train too much in trial mode. Once you get used to abilities, the next task, which we have to deal – is the choice of the place where you want to place the Piercing blades. Bots can not dodge our combo as a real player, so, after you get used to the timing, you will need to play some real games to try out the combination.

The advantage of the view.

There is nothing more frustrating for the opponent team than Kerrigan, attacking from the bushes. This is one of those situations that could decide the outcome of the game. Hide in the bushes during the phase of standing on the line and wait until the enemy will not dare to push the line. When the victim is on the middle of the line – it’s time to attack.

You can also entice the enemy to the observation deck. Those are on Blackheart Bay and the Temple of Heaven, and perfect for the execution of the plan. At the beginning of the game characters of both teams run to the observation deck at the risk of their own lives. As Kerrigan, you have to lurk in the bushes near the lookout, waiting for opponents trying to capture the area. As soon as they will be on the point, you quickly get to the the battle, and do your combo. This relatively safe maneuver will provide you with an early experience, review and lines control.

Conclusion.

You should always reliably perform a combination of Kerrigan, if you want to play in the League heroes.

It is not hard on your part you need only a little training. If you have long wanted to try Kerrigan, now is the time. She is extremely powerful in competent hands, and performing well on any map.

Finally I will say that you will not need to use abilities always together. Sometimes you just need to extend the control with Piercing blades or crush the enemy the Initial grip. When you have the opportunity – use it. Do not waste mana on full combo, if this is not necessary.

Good day, ladies and gentlemen! Today I present to you our old friend, to which the developers have given a second life, meet – the Butcher!

All the gameplay boils down to two things – accumulate meat and begin to kill everything that moves. Abilities are not really changed, but developers changed talents and passive skills (accumulation of meat) it is necessary to carefully considered in order to fully appreciate the new Butcher in Hots.

The first, and most importantly developers changed passive ability. Now, to accumulate a critical mass of meat more difficult, but also it is not easy to lose it.

Quest: After the death of the creeps nearby appear 1 piece of fresh meat, and after heroes – 5. For each picked piece of meat damage from the auto-attack of Butcher increased by 1 unit. The maximum you can collect is 125 pieces of meat. After the death Butcher loses 10 pieces of meat.

The next change that need to be noted – “Good hunting!” At the seventh level. The effectiveness of additional healing rises to 100% of the damage from the auto attack and if the enemy is affected by the ability to “Brand Butcher” then Butcher moves 20% faster. Previously, Butchers heal in Hots was depended on the speed of movement of the hero, which was aimed at capacity. Then there is a difficult choice. Sixteenth level makes it possible to increase the slowdown to 75% from the ability of “Hamstring”, or take one of the two passive abilities – “Frenzy” and “Blood Frenzy” (the original name). “Frenzy” works as follows: if you after enemy attack you have less than 50% health, Butcher runs mad for 10 seconds and gets 40% bonus to attack speed (well with “Brand Butcher”) and receives a shield which blocks 25 % of incoming damage. Once the frenzy passed, inner cd of this passive is 20 seconds, after which Butcher could again fall into a rage.

“Blood Frenzy” operates quite differently – auto attacks against enemy characters increases auto attack speed and movement for 5% for 3 seconds. This effect stacks up to 5 times.

What can we said to summarize? Butcher was, and remains the most “diving” character of the game. If you dive, then you can not leave the fight: you either kill or die, taking as many enemies with you as possible. But even without the support of allies, he is able to single murders players all over the map. Zagara pushes one line? “The ruthless rush” and she could not go away. New, enhanced Chen is available at the PTR. He became stronger, much fatter and still can destroy Forts better than specialists, due to his ability to tank towers while drinking his brew. But will these changes go on Live servers?

Level 1

At the first level, we suggested to choose one option of basics Chens abilities. Each of these options is needed in different situations.

Grounding brew

We need protection from the Zagara, Jaina or any other burst? Grounding brew now offers 30% protection from spells instead of 25%.

Accumulation Flame

Need a waveclear at the Sanctuary or Braxis? Accumulation Flame allows to increase the power of fire, and upon completion of the quest Chen will start to get resistance for each of the affected hero.

Freshest ingredients

Almost the same as the Regeneration Master, only this time upon completion the quest, your shield strength will be 50% of obtained during drinking.

Elusive Brawler

By activating this ability, Chen will start avoid all the auto attacks of the enemy within 2 seconds.

Level 4

Deadly Strike

Now it no longer requires the brew and deals 100% more damage if you have shield on you. This is twice better than it was before! Now you can Crit someone in the face, then start drinking and after that crit again. The lack of cost of this spell will synergy perfectly with  Levels 7 ability Brewmasters Harmony.

Rising of fire

They just increase damage from this ability from 30 to 50, and this will give a huge advantage in team fights where every amount of damage can be lethal.

Level 7

Refreshing Elixir

This is a special version of the Empowered Healing accessible only by Chen. Bonus heal can be increased to 60% if you receive healing while drinking. Now, no one can kill a panda if he drink under Lt. Morales healing ray.

Bolder Flavor

Now our brew will momently apply a shield on us, that will absorb 697 damage and lasts only 1 second. Super usefull skill in team fight, will allow us to absorb even more damage then before!

Withering Flames

Reduces magic damage done by your enemies by 25% for 3 seconds. It looks like a small spell shield that will protect the rest of my team, not just me. Wait, but it is generally legitimate?

Pressure Point

Vulnerable point received an upgrade. What upgrade? Now, you can take it by 3 level earlier! Now the target is slowed down by 40% if you just use a skill, and by 80% if you use it on the targets that drenched with your brew.

Level 16

Flying Leap

Flying leap increases the range of the attack by 20%, which will be usefull in the game against range heroes, also these 20% may be salutary in the escape.

Another Round

Another Round reduces the cooldown of your abilities for 3 seconds after using Barrel Strike. Also (probably a bug) your barrel becomes huge. You can hit the entire enemy team immediately.

Level 20

Untapped Potential

Now it will give an additional speed and damage reduce to your barrel, and now you can roll under towers. Cool.

Elemental Conduit

Increase health pool of your spirits by 100%, and they will have additional abilities. Storm makes you unstopable, Earth get faster recharge of Leap, and Fire starts to strike faster.

Purifying Brew

Make Chen an unstopable and reduce cc time of next spell by 75% and refresh your shield recharge immediately.

Now you will heal yourself by 1.5% of your max health with every strike.

How to gang, and how to avoid them

Dehaka Smart Hunter


Dehaka – unique tank that has teleport as his base ability. What makes Dehakas ability even more unique thats it is can teleport only in the bushes. This element makes it more powerful on maps with shrubs in strategic locations. Unfortunately, every ability have a negative elements. He does not have usual mount, and if he wants to go anywhere without digging, then he would have to go all the way on foot.

Without further ranting let’s get straight to the point!


Smart Hunter

Dehaka is the best ganker of all heroes with the global teleport. Gank – is the transition from his line at the other, the one where there is an enemy hero, which will be easy to kill. The actual gameplay of this zerg will push you to make a gank.

Firstly, he has a great stun. The one who you catch with your tongue and pull to your team mates will be definitely dead, especially if your allies are aware of the impending attack.

Second, the “bush” Mechanics (Z) of Dehaka just made for ganks. Due to the fact that you can only move in the bushes, you will be initially invisible to the opponents. This ability can be used to engage in unusual positions, such strategy helps to catch the enemy off guard. In addition, it will be much harder to hide behind the creeps, which will increase the percentage of accuracy of your tongue.

DehakaMecha

Dehaka is incredibly strong against Abathur and Lost Vikings. When all team mates fight for the map objective, Abathur usually soak exp with his unarmored body. He just sit in the bushes near creeps. And right here Dehaka can easily kill him, if he can hit him with his tongue. Same story with Lost Vikings, but unfortunately Dehaka can kill only one of them.


Escape

 

Some people may look at Dehaka and think that he, with his standart movement speed, just can not escape from anyone. Let me say that this is a BIG mistake.

Digging may be used as escape in any situation.

Just imagine: You stay in the middle of a fight, when you realize that it turnes not on your side. Your support is dead, mages already retreated and you stand all alone against whole enemy team. In this moment you must as fast as possible use your digging ability to run at the opposite point on the map. Any bushes will be ok. You may even dig right to the enemy base, and then leave with teleport (b). These tactic will be useful almost in every fight. But firstly, be sure that enemies set cd on all theirs stuns.

In all other cases try to dig  into some profitable places. Line where you can soak exp, or map objective. Just ask yourself: Where i will be useful right now?

Dehaka – Digging Tips

 

This article provides tips on improving skills of Digging. He is one of the Star Craft II characters, that possessing the ability to quickly move around the map. Other examples of heroes with about the same capacity can be called Falstad, Brightwing and Abathur.


Experience Soak

The ability to gather experience from the free line is one of the main advantages of the characters with a global presence. This advice does not apply only to Dehaka. Experience is very important in HotS, especially when you go out on a high level of play. Each pack creeps can be decisive, if you soak experience from it, and enemies do not. It is important to remember this, because if you are overtaking enemies by 1 level, then it could turn into an advantage in talent, and it allows you to completely control the game.

The best way to use a global presence on the map for the sake of collecting experience will be a simple delay before sending it to the map point. The farther away the object from the line at which you stand, the greater the benefits will derive. When you stay on the lane you are forcing the enemy to choose between staying with you and collect the same amount of EXP, or go away and give you opportunity to go ahead on the level. It is in any case a losing situation for your opponents.

Dehaka and Kerrigan

If the enemy decides to just leave the line and go to the site, you will collect a minimum of one free pack of creeps. This already gives a slight advantage to your team. Also it will help your creeps and they can do a little more siege damage. If the enemy decides to stay and collect the Exp, then you can use the digging for the rapid withdrawal from the line and fight for the object. This will allow your team to battle to the numerical advantage, make a couple Kills and pick up the object.


Digging

With such a strong ability to dig at any point on the map, some may think that they should use it on cd. Especially given the fact that Dehaka very slow. When you run on line, sometimes it seems that you are watching the game in spectator mode. But believe me, digging should be reserved.

Going on line without digging will allow you to save your allies from the first minute of the match. If you use your (Z) on the cd it will be difficult to use it on right situations. If your team does not need you right now, then save your (Z) and continue to collect the Exp.

Another important point that should know is that the digging can not be undone. Once you have chosen a place where to “teleport” your character is no longer obey your commands and starts digging.
